Day two of Yoga Revolution and day three of job training! I’ve been making sure to wake up early enough to fit in a practice the last two days – it helps me feel ready for the day, and I don’t trust myself to be committed to a post-work practice! Running is different for some reason, I have a much easier time doing that after work than a yoga practice. Yesterday I did go for a two mile run after work to burn off some anxiety about being the rookie in a new place, even though the atmosphere is super inclusive and set up for employee success. I think it’s always hard to be new, to not quite get how everything works yet, remember everyone’s names and in customer service, explain methods you don’t 100% understand yourself.
And so I find myself turning back to Yoga With Adriene. Her practice has always been there for me during periods of adjustment and unrest, new beginnings and apprehensive but necessary endings. I find the YWA channel when I’m on top of the world and then when I need to pick myself up and dust myself off.
Today was Yoga Revolution Day Two, Practice Intention! I loved this gentle, yet swift and warming practice! It incorporated downward dogs, planks, forward folds, runner’s lunge and stretch, extended side angle, kneeling twist, boat pose and bridge pose! I could see doing this video again when I want a practice that starts gently with a slow but strong build to finish with core poses and Shavasana. Like the title says, it’s a great video for reving you up for a successful day or Practicing Intention!
