Product Review: Good Karma Unsweetened Flax Milk!December 7, 2018 / byrunningwhilevegan / Categories : recipes, Review
One of my new favorite things to do with Mike is scout out the local Grocery Outlet and 99 Cents Store Only before we head to the standard supermarket for our groceries. It’s like a treasure hunt — we find the best stuff! Recently we were able to stock up on Daiya cheese for $2.50 a bag and So Delicious yogurt at three for $0.75! I also like to buy our non-dairy milks there, unsweetened preferably. I had never had flax milk before, but Mike is a fan and I was down to try something new!
I am super digging this flax milk by Good Karma — it’s super creamy and has no after-taste. It’s also very low calorie. Mostly I use it in my coffee, but I am excited to try it in recipes. My go-to is always soy milk and I can’t imagine it having a much different outcome in baking and cooking than unsweetened soy does.

One of my favorite, local, SoCal races, is the Jet Blue Long Beach Marathon! There are a few different race options available during this race weekend, including the half marathon distance, 5k, 20 mile bike ride, and 20 mile bike ride/half marathon combo! The last two years, I’ve run the marathon, which is definitely not […]read more
I don’t know why it took me so long (37 years) to roast my own garlic, but now I’m going to constantly have roasted bulbs in my fridge! It’s seriously so easy, and it adds a beautiful depth of flavor to whatever you incorporate it to! I followed this recipe, and seriously, my bulbs came […]read more
