Recipe Review: Logical Harmony’s Buffalo Cauliflower!

November 19, 2018   /   byrunningwhilevegan  / Categories :  Food, recipes, Review

I love, love, love buffalo cauliflower! I mean, most people do, right? WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE? (Spicy ingredients, if you are half the members of my immediate family.) I remember when Logical Harmony’s Tashina Combs posted this recipe a few years back, but I never got around to making it. She and Justin used to be regulars at a restaurant I worked at back in San Francisco, which is how I briefly got to know them! Now they are THE go-to source for vegan and cruelty-free beauty products, which is honestly the coolest.

Flash forward about five years, Mike and I just moved to Huntington Beach, and I’m ecstatic to cook in my new kitchen! I had to throw away a lot of my spices and pantry items when I moved in with Mike and when we decided a few months later to move to the Inland Empire. It can take time to build that kind of kitchen inventory back up. Basically, I’m cooking with a few essentials in my cupboard, so recipes have gotta be simple, ingredient-wise.

Enter Buffalo Cauliflower! Anything I didn’t have in my cupboards was inexpensive enough to buy, and very useful for everyday cooking.

Here is the recipe! I served mine up with celery sticks and Follow Your Heart Ranch dressing. If you are interested in making your own ranch, I have a recipe right here!

I have to admit I made two batches of this initially, with Trader Joe’s gluten-free flour. It wasn’t not good, but it wasn’t great. I’m still interested in experimenting with a gluten-free version, but the regular flour one is absolute perfection!

On another note, who doesn’t love pizza and buffalo cauliflower? Hack: order Papa John’s pizza with no cheese, get home, turn on the oven and doctor it up with Daiya cheese and more toppings of your choice! Recently we got found a special on the app, two large one topping pizzas for $14.00. We were exhausted from Rock’n Roll Vegas, so pizza it was! Mike likes banana peppers on his pizza, so we got a jar at the store, I had buffalo cauli prepped in the fridge and BOOM! Best dinner and TV night combo!

I try to enjoy egg nog (non-dairy for the last 12 years) the same way I try to enjoy Hallmark Christmas movies: with no dice. I’m not a fan, but that doesn’t stop me from trying every year with new movies and new beverage brands. Well, thank goodness for that resilient attitude because I’ve realized […]
