Workout Of the Day!March 15, 2017 / byrunningwhilevegan / Categories : Running, Uncategorized, yoga
LA marathon 2017 is 5 days away and I’m as prepared as I can be! Now I’m just trying to work on stretching, nutrition and hydration. I don’t know what anything over 18 miles is going to feel like, and I like the mystery. The only thing I’m worried about is hitting the wall, which in the past has come from starting a run too fast, or with an empty stomach.
Tomorrow I have an eight mile training run with BlacklistLA, and it’s probably going to be my last run before the marathon Sunday. To get prepared for both tomorrow’s run and the marathon, I did Yoga With Adriene’s 6 Minute Yoga for Hips and her Yoga For a Rainy Day (also great hip stretches!). I also wanted to get an arm workout in, so I added Tone It Up’s Bikini Arms to my routine today (with 5lb weights). And now it’s time to get rested, which is sometimes the most challenging part for me.

Mike and I got back from San Diego a couple hours ago from Rock’n Roll SD, and I’m still feeling the glow and excitement of our visit. We got on the road to SD yesterday afternoon for a whirlwind 18 hours of eating, sleeping and running a half marathon! While there are so many delicious […]read more
It’s May, aka five months into 2018, and Mike and I have already explored two National Parks! In January, we hit up The Grand Canyon, and just last weekend we took off to Joshua Tree. In April we were scheduled to run in Zion, but it might be a little too soon to mention that […]read more
